What customers say?

“ I was going to give this place a 3 at first until the owner came up to us multiple times to check in how everything was good. I can tell he takes pride in his work and business and the food was top quality at an affordable price. I was going to rate this a 3 bc 1) lack of parking and accessibility; 2) we kept asking for lemons, but the server kept bringing out limes; and 3) when you walked in there was a very strong ammonia-like scent which takes away one’s appetite 1) It’s hard to find any parking anywhere along that stretch of Fredericksburg road so the lack of ingress/egress is not the owner’s fault. There is some parking immediately in front of the restaurant but once that’s filled up I’m not sure where else you can go 2) the lemon / lime thing was probably due to a language barrier, and it’s my own fault that I don’t speak Spanish to help alleviate that issue 3) this was the worst part about this place and why it did not get a 5 out of 5. I’m not sure what was going on at the time or if they had just cleaned or what, but it was a pungent scent that hit u right when u walked in which made first impressions not so good. However u did end up getting used to it so it was not present the whole meal. ”

“ Hands down some of the best menudo I've ever eaten! The tortillas were freshly homemade! The chorizo and egg was hoe is supposed to be made. Not dripping with grease. We rarely venture to this side of town, but we certainly will from now on for some great food! Adolfo, thank you for the great service and amazing food! ”

“ I love Adolfo's Cafe! A small gem where the breakfast tacos taste really homemade (soft real tortillas), and the tortas are delicious. Great authentic Mexican flavors and the salsas are the best. Give it a try for breakfast or lunch, it will not disappoint. ”

“ Best taqueria in midtown. Hidden gem but I tell everyone to try it, and I buy the salsa in bulk for my kitchen and home meals ”

“ This little hole in the wall Mexican Resturant is a must try. The food has so much flavor and the verde sauce is to die for! The owner is amazing and really goes out of his way to provide excellent service. He even went to the store to get me a beer to have with my breakfast. Definitely will make this a weekly visit! I had Chilaquiles and my friend had the crane asada. We both cleaned our plates. Tortilla are freshly homemade and delicious. ”

“ Needed a caterer for my daughters 2nd bday, a “Taco Twosday” theme and needed some crispy tacos and all the fixings! Adolfo’s came in clutch and provided all the delicious food we needed. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how good the picadillo was and how delicious the rice was too. It’s easy to mess up Spanish rice and hard to make it this good especially for a party of 35 but Adolfo’s cafe did it. Much thank you from me and all my family who loved having yal cater my little ladies 2nd bday. Thank yal. ”

“ Our uncle highly recommended this little restaurant to us, so we decided to go give it a try, and we were so glad we did! The food is delicious AND the service was the best. Mr. Adolfo treats you like family. The waitress, Nayeli, is very attentive and really sweet. The flour tortillas are fresh and so delicious. The food tastes home made and made fresh. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall. It’s gonna be our new go-to place. Thank you for the great service Mr. Adolfo. ”
